You want to know not just what your job will include, but also the rate of pay that you can expect to receive. It is wise to keep in mind that salaries will vary from state to state. Those who work in large cities can expect to make more than someone working in a small town.

On average, according to the United States Department of Labor, an experienced physical therapist earns $74,410. Of course, if you decide to go for your PhD, you can earn closer to $100,000. However, someone that is fresh out of college will begin earning a little less. In the beginning, you might find yourself with a starting salary of a little over $50,000.

When it comes to the amount of time that you will spend in school, you can expect to spend at least four years to receive your Bachelors. You can go for your Masters or even your PhD should you chose to expand your knowledge base in order to earn more money.
